The online YLCF Book Society exists to provide a forum of Christian fellowship, literary critique, and fun for ladies who cannot meet with a local group. We will read a new book each month and discuss it as we go. The titles will be from a variety of genres: poetry, history, ancient literature, novels, and biographies.
- Christian young ladies aged sixteen and older, married or single, are welcome to join.
- To request membership join the Tea Table and then email us or apply at the Tea Table.
- Please include the following (at your discretion): name, location, age, and why you love reading.
- We reserve the responsibility to postpone, refuse, or cancel membership (with explanation) as needed for the safety and good of the Society.
- Discussion of each book will be open for the entire month. At the beginning of a new month the previous meeting will be “concluded” and comments on that entry closed.
- For the benefit of all, we ask that each members try to enter the discussions and fellowship. Though we understand shyness, any “lurkers” who do not participate for two or more months will be removed (from the Society only, not the Tea Table) until they are able/desire to take part.

Just stumbled upon your website. Lovely idea, and beautifully executed. I spent much time on some of your pages where your members talked about their favorite books - watch my wish-list grow!
I am a fan of Isabella Alden (Pansy), one of the authors I found listed several times in your pages. I keep my Pansy books listed on LibraryThing.com (user name: chautauqua.girls). I’m not an employee of the site, nor a spammer, just a very, very satisfied user of that website which provides a wonderful service for book-lovers like me.
I mention this to you, because I can see how it would be really helpful to such a group as yours. For instance, one of you could create a private group (say “YLCF” or whatever you like), then each one of you who wanted to catalog her books on LibraryThing, would join that group. Each member of that group could then search the “Group” library, and you could all “see” each other’s books. Its also a good place to keep your reviews, wishlists, etc., too.
I look forward to seeing you there someday!
