I have been working to add every girls’ name to the member list, along with the Quest(s) in which she is participating. This is difficult when all I am going off of us a username. I understand that some girls are concerned about security, so if you or your parents truly are not comfortable, we will let you go by your username. However, if some of you are willing to comment and share your real first name with us it would help with the listing. We also appear to have several Annas…can you help me out with a middle or last name initial? How old are you and from what state/country do you hail?

Hi Natalie!
I’m 30, teaching 8th grade English, recently married, and living in the Central Valley of California.
Currently reading “Christy” by Catherine Marshall as it has been “challenged” at our school library.
I’ll be joining the 90 Challenge for Lent (yes, I know it’s only 40 days, but…) and catching whatever I can from the other challenges when time allows.
Happy Reading!
Lara

Good idea, Natalie! I’ve been wondering the same.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!
I’m Jana (gracegirl) from Hillsboro, WI. I am 26 and live with my family (two brothers, one sister and a brother living 45 min. away), plus my paternal grandma. I divide my time between serving the Lord at home, and in ministries across the country; love babies and kids, mentoring/discipling teens, weddings :-), traveling, photography, jogging, and cheese! Life is never dull and I love it, no matter what the challenges.

January 29, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Cheese is a staple of life, Natalie.
Especially in our state! Oh, that’s what I should bring if I ever make it out to your place…..!!

Hello! My name is Judith A. - also known as ladyfelicity around Heart Thoughts. I’m 23. I’m a writer and stay-at-home daughter/sister/homemaker. I love God, my family and my friends, beauty, learning about God, encouraging other girls, ‘living out loud’ (from the song, ‘Live Out Loud’, by Stephen Curtis Chapman), reading, writing, art and photography, music, languages … and chocolate (plain chocolate, not fruit-and-nut chocolate). I’m taking Quests 1 and 2 and am looking forward to 1st February!

Hello all!
My name is Samantha and I am an Idaho girl.
I am 18 years old. I am a homeschooled ‘07 graduate. I am a ballet teacher, big sister to seven, and the family menu planner and cook, among other things. I enjoy knitting, quilting, reading, dancing, listening to good music, (at the moment the soundtrack for Miss Potter is on) Bible study, and serving in various church ministries. I think that is just about all I can come up with at the moment. I also like cheese, but would prefer chocolate if given the choice.

Hi! I’m Jessica M. from NC. I’m eagerly looking forward to Quest 2, which I have signed up for. Though a little late, I will be started on Quest 1 this week (I haven’t posted my book list yet). I’m a stay-at-home daughter/homemaker-in-training, who is seeking to serve her King in all things. I am also working on started a sewing business/school called The Sewing Maiden, hence my username
I recognize one or two other people from other places, and I hope to get to know the rest of y’all!
January 30, 2008 at 7:56 am
Enjoying all your intros! And Samantha, I’m with you re: the chocolate.
Dark, dark bittersweet chocolate especially!
January 30, 2008 at 10:14 am
Hi,
I’m Anna T. Almost one and twenty.=-) Also from WI…I am looking forward to being stretched doing the Bible Quest.
I enjoy reading, nannying darling Sammi, being at home with my family, talking with friends, scrapbooking, cooking & baking (last night I made a caramel pecan cheesecake that was delicious! And as my family says “very bad for you.” *lol*)movie soundtracks (classical), chocolate of any kind, costume dramas, library trips, babies and most importantly drawing closer to my Savior.
January 30, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Greetings all! My name is Jeanne, I am in my early 20’s and live in Texas with my family. Normal life and a few extra challenges have provided me with many ways to serve at home in this season of my life. I also work part-time at an antique shop, which is fun! And hope to pursue an education in midwifery when God opens that door.
I love to read Jane Austen and listen to Dickens on cd.
Surely a love of costume dramas is a given. And I crochet– lace; currently I’m working on a filet name doily for my mother which is long overdue.
In closing, I love chocolate– but– I think I love cheese more. It’s very close, though!
January 31, 2008 at 10:02 am
HI!!!
My name is
Anna, I “migrated” from California to lexington, KY along with my family in summer of 2006 and I love it here! I was born in Ukraine and we immigrated to the USA in 1989 with a lot of others from the church we had in small Ukrainian city, because of the restrictions that christians were under. Praise God for the freedom today. I want to be in Quest 2.
January 31, 2008 at 10:59 am
Some more things: I forgot to say that I will be 21 on February 25th:)Oh and yes..my last name is Kalinyuk. (try to pronounce it:) and a little about me: I LOVE, simply love kids, I babysat all three of my sisters for 3 years in a row while she worked and I was in homeschool. I sing in the youth choir as well as the womens choir in our little ukrainian church and I love the fact that I can spend every evening of every day in church. I love chinese food and of course ukrainian dishes. Currently I’m going in a community college trying to get my general ed done so I can eventually become a nurse (my childhood dream!), and use my skills in the mission field to help others in less fortunate places around the world. Finally I’m sooo happy I found YLCF. In more ways than one it has confirmed what I have been trying to oftentimes deny when it comes to modesty and that area of a womans life. I believe God Himself in His Grace opened this window for me and I thank all you so much for this Natalie, and everyone who participates. Sorry this is so long but I’ve been meaning to write this a while back. God Bless You Abundantly!

Hi there, my name is Kendra H and I’m 22 years old. (I’m not very creative when it comes to these screen names. :)) I hail from Ontario, Canada. Today I joined Quest 1. Well about me … I’m the oldest of 6 and was homeschooled from K-12. I have lived in the US, Haiti, and Canada. I enjoy crocheting, card making, visiting historical sites, listening to music(esp. classical - Mozart is playing in the background right now) and playing it a bit too, visiting with friends, and learning about missions. Books have always been a staple in my life so I’m taking a Library & Information Technician program right now with the plan of helping maintain/set up Bible School libraries around the world. I love Jesus (because He first loved me) and try to share that as much as possible.
As to the chocolate/cheese debate :), I would have to say that chocolate would win with me, but cheese is also very delicious.
January 31, 2008 at 7:25 pm
I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you didn’t have my name.
Shoulda thought about it…
My name is Bethany. I was an MK in the Philippines for 18 years; now my family is in the USA, and I live with them in PA. I’m taking some correspondence college courses, and work as a volunteer EMT. My dream for the future is to be a faithful wife to a missionary overseas, to raise a family and work our hearts out wherever we were.
I’m very very excited to be a part of Quest 2. Scripture-reading has never been one of my strengths; I know much of it by memory and have taught alot of NT survey, but I don’t have daily, regular “feeding” from it. The accountability that will come from doing it with so many of you will be a great help. To God be the glory.

My real name is Emily Riley, but I’ve been called Emma for years, and like to go by that name on the web. I am a sinner saved by grace, twenty years old.I live at home with my beloved family (eight younger siblings plus one on the way through the blessing of adoption) in Mississippi.
I love reading, writing, music, family, homemaking, and church. Right now I am filling my time with writing, independent study of various subjects through reading with a focus on history, theology and literature (I was mostly educated Charlotte Mason-style and believe that reading & writing is the best form of higher education for my personal learning style), ‘homekeeper training’, serving my family and church, and teaching piano to my siblings.
I love classic literature. Like Natalie, I am trying to broaden my horizons beyond my favourite authors. I’m not currently taking either of the Quests, but plan to join the Tea Table and possibly the Book Society, and look forward to book discussions with the ladies here.
By the way, I love cheese too

Other interests include sewing, working with kids, the outdoors, and reading almost anything that gets in my way. Working on Quest Two!

My name is Jen H., username jenbear.
I am 20 years old and the big sister of 7 amazing people. I love my family and I don’t care where I am, if they’re with me, I’m bound for a good time! I love writing in any way, shape, or form—-though I’m not a seasoned writer, it’s merely one of the ways I express myself, and worship from my heart. I love a good book, cooking Italian food, clean (imagine that!), photography, chats with dear friends, a cup of tea, horseback riding (bareback and barefooted), caramel frappuccinos…to name but a few things.
I don’t have a path or a plan for my life that would please the world or most that would hear of it. But I do have a deepest desire I’ll share with you: I long to know my Savior more. I’ve not obtained all the heights I wish to have attained already, but everything is in the timing of the Most High…in this, I climb, with as much patience as this little one can muster!
For now, I’m in Quest 2, and sooo looking forward to stretching my mind and heart around these 90 days…and prayerfully going to join in on other quests soon too. Looking forward to meeting you all, and what the Lord will do through all this time together!
February 2, 2008 at 2:02 pm
I think maybe we should go ahead and say who we are =)
Our names are Jaclynn and Samantha R.
We are 22 and live in Nor. Cal.
We have 4 brothers and 1 sister. Still living at home, and we currently do housecleaning and have a nanny job.
We have enjoyed YLCF for many years and now are enjoying this new site of yours, Natalie.
Can we put in our vote for chocolate? *laugh* dark chocolate especially!
Neither of us are participating in the Quests but we may do so in the future.
February 2, 2008 at 3:12 pm
Sorry I’m late! May I still join?
I’m a full time student, so I’ll try to keep up, but I have a somewhat busy semester. I live with my mom and sister, and have been reading YLCF for just over a year now (wow… it’s been that long?!?) I LOVE reading, and LOVE listening to audiobooks from Librivox. I play the piano and thouroughly enjoy chess, though I’m not really that good at it.
Chelsea Lauren (17)
Alberta, Canada
PS: I’m also doing the first quest, but haven’t sent you my list. It’s on my blog, here: http://boatharbor.blogspot.com/2008/01/another-resolution.html
February 3, 2008 at 12:40 pm
Chelsea,
I’m confused. When you ask to join, are you talking about anything in particular? I have you down on the member page now with the first Quest.

My name is Sarah Adams, am 23, and currently work at a tiny Bible college in NH. I’m already several days into quest 2 and happy I decided to try it out.
Thanks for all your work organizing things, Natalie!

My name is Amy and I think I’m the oldest one here! I’m 31, happily married to a Godly man (Pastor) for the past 10 years. I am the proud Mommy to an almost 3 year old girl, Rylie Karis who is the light of my life. My other daughter, Anna Sophia (hence the screen name) is due to be born anytime in the next couple of weeks! We live in the Pacific Northwest. I used to be a medical social worker, now I am a stay at home mommy. Being a Pastor’s wife (and Pastor’s daughter), I am very busy and blessed with ministry as well as my family. I am participating in Quest 1. Quest 2 sounds very intriguing, but our church had already started a read the Bible through in a year plan. If you want to see pictures of my adorable daughter, you can check out my blog, http://godmadeplaydough.blogspot.com It was very nice meeting you all!
February 7, 2008 at 12:36 am
I forgot to say that choclate wins hands down in my book! Course that could be the pregnancy cravings talking!
February 26, 2008 at 11:28 pm
Sorry! I didn’t check back on here. I am doing the 90 day challenge with you guys, and a modified version of the other by myself. Your quest gave me motivation to work on my reading list, but there are more than 10 books, I’m giving myself till Aug 2009, and they’re not necissarily challenging, just ones I haven’t read before (Chronicles of Narnia, etc).
Also, I noticed on the page you put that I’m from Ontario, but I’m from Alberta. I would be very interested in talking to the Kathleen here from Alberta, if she sees this!

Hi girls

As my user name states, my name is Stephanie Andrews. I’m 23 years old, from Ontario, Canada, and am the second of 7, 6 of us still at home. I hope to be a wife and mom someday, but for now am seeking to make the most out of every day in this current chapter. I love the Lord and learning and growing and fellowshiping with others on this pilgrim journey. I’ve read YLCF for years and am excited about this new site of Natalie’s, being a devourer of books! Looking forward to getting to know some of you
(You can find my blog at http://www.psalm42-2.blogspot.com)
And…I vote for chocolate, although cheese is a close second…
March 11, 2008 at 6:16 am
Welcome Stephanie!!
yay for chocolate, lol.
April 10, 2008 at 10:50 pm
Hi Natalie,
My name is Kathy S. I am 31 yrs old and live up in Alaska. I came across your site after visiting the YLCF site.
I’m currently in grad school (while working full time), so unfortunately, I don’t get to read much other than text books. However, reading portions of your site has encouraged me to make the effort to set aside time each day, even if its just 10 minutes, for reading something I enjoy.
I’ve been a Christian for a little over 12 years now and have been striving to keep myself grounded in His will. Though I can tell you there have certainly been rough times.
I’m a little over halfway done with my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy at Liberty University. Psychology is such a secular field. I want to give people a Christian alternative when their struggles lead them to counseling.
The chocolate-cheese duel is a tough one for me to resolve. I love just about every type of real cheese (processed stuff doesn’t count!!). However, I think I give the edge to dark chocolate which I find AMAZING.
Well, I guess I better get back to studying. Anything else you’d like to know, just ask

Hello Ladies of Heart Thoughts…
My name is Renee Pratt and I am going on twenty-one this year. I am an aspiring writer - a new columnist for ladies’ magazine: “Tapestries of the Heart”, journal scribbler, avid article writer for various other publications, and e-mailer. My first book is in the works; sooner than later to be published, I hope. I love music - particularly making my own on my digital grand MIDI piano.
I run a homebased business online, http://www.candlelighthomeministries.com and have a local sewing/mending/alteration business called, “The Sewing Extension”.
I am one of thirteen children, so life is full of people, adventures and down-home craziness! I am nostalgic, I’d like to think ‘borderline’ dramatic :-), passionate about what I believe in… I love roses, cantering on my horse, gardening, boquets of lilacs, starlit skies, interesting names, French Revolution, MILK chocolate (sorry ladies!), the classics, Regency dresses, Jane Austen, organization, interior decorating and design, flower arranging, the smell of hay… I have lots of interests and pursuits really.
For now…enough.

Hello Natalie,
My name is Lisa Marie Cruz, and I came across this literary “tea table” through the Young Ladies Christian Fellowship blog.
I am excited to be able to join, and look forward to beginning one of your quests at the beginning of June. I am in the process right now of finishing my senior year of high school.
I am currently residing with my family near Las Vegas, Nevada.
I am glad to find ladies that love to read great literature as much as I do. See everyone else soon!
