A Reading
Let the word of Christ, in all its richness, find a home with you. Teach each other, and advise each other, in all wisdom. With gratitude in your hearts sing psalms and hymns and inspired songs to God. -Colossians 3:16
An Update
My brother’s wedding is in just a few days! Then we are going on a much-needed trip…so HeartThoughts will likely be fairly quiet for the next week. Hope you are all having beautiful springs!
A Question
I want to make HeartThoughts as useful and enjoyable as I can. Will you help me out?
- Are there parts of the website that you like more?
- Are there parts you never visit?
- Do you have any input on how it could be improved?
- Taking into consideration the amount of time you spend online, reading, etc. do you think I am publishing too much, about the right amount, or not enough?

About the right amount… Sometimes I keep on top of it and then other times (not due to quantity, but due to my own time constraints) I have to catch up. I think overall it is a fair amount of new material.
personally we have had some good literary discussions, but I would like to see more of that line… a discussion column…like a chat thing or such that you could have an organized time?

I hope the wedding and the trip are lovely!
Hmm … I really like your journal and the Tea Table. Those are the parts of HeartThoughts that I visit most often. I love the Quests. I enjoy the Introductorion and your thoughts on “ancient words” … and re-read them from time to time!
I like what you publish - I sometimes wish there was a bit more, never that there was a little less!
Generally, I’m trying to cut down on my time on-line, but HeartThoughts is not an on-line “group” or “network,” but a refuge (that just happens to be on-line) of calm and peace - a refuge I appreciate and cherish … and make time for!

Thank you, Renee and Judith for your input. Please, others let me know as well. This is really a pleasure for me to do and I want to devote time to it which can be profitable and helpful not only to me but to you. But I also have so many other pulls on my time so just getting feedback from you can help me know how to balance it all.
I know that come fall my life is going to get much, much busier but I strongly believe that nurturing fellowship, time for reading quality books, and purposefully implementing spiritual disciplines is worth the time.

Renee, are you talking about a live chat, as in a group at once being able to talk? I’ve thought about this before and think it would be fun to facilitate. Not sure of the best platform for such yet or if there would be enough interest. I had an open chat page similar to the Tea Table “Mingle” at one point and maybe I’ll put that back up.

Yes, I mean like a live chat. My sister does one related to midwifery called CHATZY, but I don’t know how great it is really, because I have never used it. I would be really open to it. My best nights for something of this sort would be Thursday, but I could always try to get on at different nights if that worked out best for you and others. I would really be interested in a more structured chat. And maybe if you bimonthly broached books, subjects, literature topics, etc…that we could discuss on mingle? I don’t want to overload you, just some ideas off the top of my head!

The Journal and Tea Table are the main sections I visit. The only suggestion I have is: How about more/more varied Tea Table topics? (Sticking to the realm of books of course)

Hi Natalie,
Sorry I’m late in replying…
I like the Journals, and the Library especially.
Yes, the Tea Table… haven’t signed up for it yet… I want/need to though!
I don’t think you’re publishing too much. Occasionally I get behind but that’s because of my own time restraints online. I usually visit at least once a week.
It would be okay to publish more, I think.
