N.B. The Tea Table is a private part of HeartThoughts that is only accessible to paying members. The rest of HeartThoughts is free for any visitor to read and browse. The Tea Table is one of my favorite parts of HeartThoughts. Members will currently enjoy access to three exclusive areas of the retreat center, with more in the works. As implied by the name “Tea Table,”we want to create an environment that is more private, safe, and intimate for fellowship and discussion.
The Chat gives members a place to share resources, encouragement, and interact on a variety of topics. Current topics include books used for time with God, brainstorming for further expansion of HeartThoughts, and more. The Mingle room is an open forum for any kinds of conversation.
The Book Society will explore various books and discuss them with the goal of spiritual growth and cultural awareness. For more information click here.
Finally, the Bookshelf, which is still in its beginning stages. Here Natalie hopes to enlist the help and critique of the Tea Table members. Excerpts will be shared from both currently published work as well as books-in-progress, with the hope that our readers can offer ideas and constructive criticism. YLCF has many projects in the works for 2008 so the Bookshelf will be regularly adding new manuscripts for members.
As with all of the Young Ladies Christian Fellowship, HeartThoughts and the Tea Table are ministries run by volunteers. Any funds received through donations or affiliates help offset the cost of web-hosting and other miscellaneous expenses. The membership fee for the Tea Table is specifically to help cover new and unique costs involved with this venture. While wanting to remain affordable for anyone, we also thought that a small fee would help ensure that our members are committed to the community.
